The Philippines is no stranger to disaster. Typhoons, floods, earthquakes, and volcanic eruptions strike with devastating regularity, and they almost always hit hardest in communities already burdened by poverty, weak infrastructure, and limited support. PHILRADS was founded in 1980 in direct response to this reality.
Established as the relief and development arm of the Philippine Council of Evangelical Churches (PCEC), PHILRADS began with a simple but urgent conviction: that the Filipino churches could not stand apart while its neighbors suffered.
For over 4 decades, that partnership has only deepened. We go in early, stay long, and leave communities stronger than we found them.
Why We Exist
A nation transformed through PHILRADS holistic engagement with the evangelical churches and partnering organizations to alleviate the suffering and improve the resiliency of disaster affected Filipino Families.
PHILRADS as the relief and development arm of the Philippine Council of Evangelical Churches, partnering with local and global like-minded organizations that aims to provide humanitarian interventions, livelihood opportunities and Capacity Building for resiliency to address the prevailing needs of the disaster affected communities.

Our Goals
To implement programs that address the physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs of disaster-affected families through integrated relief, rehabilitation and recovery services.
To expand PHILRADS' reach and impact by delivering responsive and sustainable services and to build resilience and disaster preparedness to a greater number of communities and individuals in need.
To continuously improve PHILRADS' internal systems and staff competencies, and governance structures to deliver high-impact programs with transparency, accountability, and sustainability.
As the PCEC's arm for relief and development, PHILRADS will continue to be the springboard in evangelizing the people through its programs and services.
To become a catalyst of transformation in the community through evangelism, sharing of God's word and truth, engaging pastors to Disciple Making.
